It’s summer time.

All the skinny moms are out there. Just living their lives.

They’re out at the pool. They’re at the lake. They’re at the beach.

They don’t have to worry about their cellulite overflowing from the back of their coverup.

They don’t have to think about that handful of side boob escaping out of the side of their swimsuit top.

They don’t have to deal with the love handles bulging over the top of their swim shorts as they bend over to put sunscreen on their kid or pick up a chicken nugget.

At this time of year, all you want to do is crawl into your own skin, or make a nice, extra large terry cloth towel that can be your summer cocoon, and go lay in it until the kids go back to school.

Because there’s no way you’re going to be in a swimsuit this summer.

I hear you. I understand. I’ve been there.

Back in 2017, after having my fourth kid, I was pretty overweight.

I struggled with body image. I struggled with confidence.

But for some reason, I still went on stuffing myself into my swimsuit to go to the beach or the water park. (Even when my boobs were too big to fit into any regular-sized shirts at Target and I finally found one in the plus-size section.)

I shared photos during that time on my social media.

I was astounded at the response.

So many women wrote direct messages, or left comments, thanking me for showing up and sharing a photo of myself not being a size 2.

During that time, I got a lot of questions about how to grow body confidence.

My first response was: ‘I have no clue.’

But I got to thinking about it, and I started sharing a few powerful exercises that I’ve used to help grow my own body confidence over the years.
