I can’t drink smoothies right now (#whole30problems), so I thought I’d torture myself and share one of my favorites. I loooove me some summer fruits, and now is the perfect time. Last summer, our free Friday playgroup went to a local peach farm, and a few of the peaches were about to go bad, so I cut them up and put them in small sandwich bags to freeze and use later. Best. Decision. Ever.
Summer Sunshine green smoothie
2 handfuls spinach
1-2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
1 cup frozen peach chunks
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1-2 cups cold filtered water
Blend and enjoy the most amazing, sweet taste of summer ever! Plus, you’re getting tons of greens in the spinach (which is a superfood). Double win.
Yes, this smoothie has more sugar than I usually go for, but hey, it’s summer. At least it’s not a piña colada.
