Why the Cat in the Hat is scary

A little LOL gift for all you Mamas getting through the back-to-school rush! I’ve been saving this gem since March.

My friend Lindsey, who lives in Riverside, California, has four children.

Last year at school, her first-grader, Brooks, had to explain what he’d do if he met the Cat in the Hat.

You know, the 6-foot-tall talking cat in the Dr. Seuss book, who showed up at some kids’ house when their parents left them home alone?

Most kids wrote, “We’d have fun and play games with the Cat in the Hat!”

This is what Brooks wrote:

In case you can’t read it:

“It would be very creepy. I would run for my life. I would hide underground. I would give him all my money to make him leave.”

LOL! Brooks, we are toootally with ya!

(Sorry, Cat.)

We wouldn’t like it either.

Not one little bit. ;)
