Mounds Bar green smoothie

I loooove my favorite green smoothie (which also happens to be a great smoothie for beginners). But sometimes I need a little change. And I also need to use up that huge bag of cacao powder in my pantry that I paid like $17 for.

This is a green, superfood-rich take on the Mounds bar!

It combines coconut and chocolate for a green smoothie journey that practically makes you feel like you’re laying on a beach gulping in sweet coconut air. Mixed with chocolate.

Mounds Bar green smoothie

1 tbsp. raw cacao powder
2 tbsp. coconut oil
3 tbsp. unsweetened shredded coconut
1 1/2 frozen sliced bananas
2 handfuls spinach
3/4 cup coconut milk
4 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients and blend!

Don’t forget: if you don’t have a Vitamix like mine, the best green smoothie trick is combine your greens and liquids in the blender FIRST (in this case, the coconut milk and spinach), blend and then add your other ingredients and blend again. Totally life-changing because you can’t even taste the greens!
