This past weekend, I was treated to not just one, but two, ultra-chic and amazing baby showers. On Saturday, my mom threw me an extravagant nautical-themed shower (that was even featured in an online baby magazine).
On Sunday, my sister-in-law, Lauren, put together the most intimate, chic vintage boy-themed shower. It was such a special afternoon, and every detail was so meaningful and meticulously executed, even down to the perfect blue and white straws, complete with custom “It’s A Boy” flags.
(Do you not DIE?!? I did.)
I was moved to tears when I saw the line of my husband’s old baby clothes that Lauren had strung across her hearth for all to see. One of my favorite parts was getting to hold his tiny old brown leather cowboy boots! I’m pretty sure I’ve heard a million stories about how it was the ONLY footwear permitted on his feet for his entire toddlerhood. What a treat to be able to see and touch those very loved boots and garments.
Speaking of treats, they were endless. For our dessert, Lauren baked layered cupcakes in mini-Mason jars.
All of her decor was light, whimsical and had an air of the past that made it truly unique and memorable.
Thank you to all who made it such a special day!
